Seaside Structure Fire ladder rescue with victims trapped Part 1

Описание: Structure Fire with Rescues in Seaside, CA. This fire is located less then a block from the fire station. We did not know we had a working fire or rescues until we arrived at scene. Upon arrival we here presented with an immediate rescue from a second story window and a confirmed second victim at the front door. We initiated the rescue closest to the engine and brought that victim down the ladder. The second victim was brought to the fire side of the structure by a police officer and we administered aid to her. We then sized up the fire and assigned other resources to patient care and initiated fire attack. There was a total of four apartments displaced two burn victims flown to burn centers and 5 other less serious burn victims that where transported to local hospitals. A level two MCI was declared and a total of five ambulances, one truck, 6 engines 2 chiefs, 1 rescue, and an air support unit responded. Seaside California is located on the Monterey peninsula and provides service to Seaside and Del Ray Oaks with auto aid agreements to surrounding fire departments.We have one station with a truck and engine staffed 24 - 7. We serve a population of 40,0000 plus people and run just under 2500 calls a year.
