A very muddy but lovely walk at one of our favourite woodlands (we do have a few) NWT Foxley Wood near Dereham. The woodland may not be one of the largest but it has so much to offer. It's always full of life whether it's birds, animals or plant life, there's always something to admire. Today didn't disappoint, even though it wasn't the brightest of days... the birds were singing and a deer was barking and we had a lucky encounter with a majestic hare and a tiny mouse. The only time we've been to the woodland when it has been busy was in the spring when the bluebells appear - then it's difficult to even park. But our usual visits are almost always human free or we just see one or two as we did today. Foxley woodland is a perfect place to lose yourself in the calm and peacefulness of nature.
