Negotiations continued on Monday (23/2) with terrorists in Georgia who kidnapped a group of ten people, including four UN military observers, last Thursday (19/2). The terrorists, who are armed with grenades and machine guns, are demanding the release from jail of 11 suspects in the
assassination attempt on Georgian President Edward Shevardnadze on 9 February. They are also demanding the withdrawal of all Russian troops
from the territory of Georgia.
