The most sacred moment of Maha Shivaratri 2026 is here! Watch the breathtaking visuals of the Mahadipa being raised atop the 180-foot spire (Chuda) of the historic Shree Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar.
As per the scheduled timing, the Mahadipa reached the temple top at 10:00 PM on February 15, 2026. Thousands of devotees, who had been fasting and waiting in the Ekamra Kshetra since dawn, broke their Jagar fast after witnessing this divine light. Despite some earlier tensions between the police and servitors, the temple administration and priests ensured that the rituals were completed with great devotion and discipline.
