New Mills may be a small town in the Peak District, but it was once served by four different railway lines, making it one of the most fascinating railway junctions in the region.
In this video I explore the surviving railway history that can still be found today. We visit both of New Mills' railway stations, walk to the magnificent Midland Railway viaduct, and search for the portal of the long-abandoned Hayfield Tunnel.
📍 Locations featured:
• New Mills Central Station
• New Mills Newtown Station
• Midland Railway Viaduct
• Hayfield Tunnel portal
