The GSD and Together Gibraltar are calling for an independent investigation into the recent case concerning the professional conduct of a teacher in 2019 to conclude if disciplinary proceedings should follow.
Having seen the full report by Gillian Guzman QC on the case, the opposition parties believe there needs to be a transparent arms-length process free from any influence.
They say this follows findings in the report that point to serious failures by the Department of Education and individuals occupying senior posts with safeguarding responsibilities.
