US Debate 2020: Biden’s ‘embraces thugs’ jibe at Trump over Kim Jong-Un

Описание: Donald Trump and Joe Biden went face-to-face for the last time ahead of the November 3rd election in the US. The two leaders exchanged barbs over ties with Russia, China and North Korea. Biden accused Trump of embracing thugs and poking fingers at their allies. Biden added that the North Korean leader had expanded the country’s nuclear arsenal under Trump’s watch. When asked what would be his policy vis-à-vis North Korea, Biden said that he would be willing to meet Kim on a condition that Pyongyang would work to make the Korean peninsula a nuclear free zone. Trump hit back saying that Kim Jong-Un had refused to meet Obama as the North Korean ruler did not like him much. He added that Obama had warned him about the possibility of a nuclear war with North Korea. Trump then said that he has a very good relationship with Kim Jong-Un and there’s no war. Trump first met in June 2018 with Kim in Singapore, the first-ever summit between the countries still technically at war, and later said that the two leaders ‘fell in love.’ The two leaders also met twice later.
