welcome to episode 35 of music in motion, my solo travel series documenting what it looks like to move through south america alone with a guitar and no real plan.

yesterday i said nothing’s an accident. today that idea felt heavier.

i was meant to leave for lima for halloween. instead, i stayed. and somewhere between sand dunes, poolside coffees, and a late-night conversation at reception, something shifted.

last night a guy i’d almost walked past asked me if it actually gets better.

it caught me off guard because i used to be the one asking that question. and suddenly i was in peru, sandboarding down dunes, telling someone else that it does. not in a motivational way. just honestly. that it does, but only if you keep choosing yourself. again and again.

this series isn’t really about ticking off peru highlights. it’s about the small human moments that shape you while you’re moving. huacachina, buggy rides, halloween plans changing — they’re the backdrop. connection is the point.
