This video explains What is Monkeypox Virus: Monkeypox Virus Kya Hai, Monkey pox kya Hai, monkeypox symptoms in the Monkeypox Outbreak in Urdu, Hindi. Monkeypox Pakistan Cases.
What is Monkeypox (Monkeypox Virus Kya Hai)? Monkeypox infection is caused by entry of the Monkeypox virus i the human body. Monkey pox cases are usually seen in Africa because the monkeypox virus naturally lives in certain animals in that region.
What is the Monkeypox virus (monkeypox virus kya hai) and how is it spread? The Monkey pox virus can be transferred from an infected animal to a human though an animal bite, or by eating the uncooked meat of an infected animal. The virus can spread between humans through touching of infected skin lesions, and through coughing and sneezing.
There has been a lot of media coverage of Monkeypox news in recent weeks. This is because cases of Monkeypox have come to light in countries outside of Africa, where Monkeypox infections are very rare, and it has been observed that the affected individuals do not have a history of recent travel to Africa. In the current Monkeypox outbreak cases have been reported in many countries across the world, including USA, UK and other European countries. At the time of writing there have been no confirmed cases of Monkeypox in India or Pakistan.
What are the symptoms of Monkeypox disease (Monkey pox bimari kya hai)? Monkeypox symptoms include an initial flu-like illness which is characterised by fever, body ache, headache, backache, shivering, and swollen lymph nodes. These monkeypox virus symptoms are followed by a rash after 1 to 3 days. The rash usually first appears on the face, but then spreads to the rest of the body, particularly the hands and feet. The rash is intensely itchy and goes through various stages similar to the chickenpox pox, first emerging as spots, then developing into fluid filled blisters, before drying up and falling off.
So what is Monkeypox treatment? Most Monkeypox cases are self-limiting and the symptoms resolve within 3-4 weeks without the need for any specific monkeypox virus treatment. Patients are advised to maintain good hydration and to self-isolate from other people in order to avoid further spread of the virus. However, a small number of patients can develop severe Monkeypox disease which becomes complicated by infections such as pneumonia, sepsis, skin infections and eye infection. WHO estimates that Monkeypox has a case fatality rate of 3 to 6% in Africa.
If an individual comes into close contact with a monkeypox case then they can be offered the smallpox vaccination within 21 days of the exposure in order to reduce the chances of developing monkeypox infection. It is estimated that the smallpox vaccine provides around 85% protection against Monkeypox.
It is felt that lockdown measures are unlikely to be needed due to the current Monkeypox outbreak of 2022, because Monkey pox virus is a well-established virus which has been researched for many decades and it does not spread as easily between humans.
