Описание: The main reason for banana fruit thinning is that an excessive number of berries in a bunch leads to uneven fruit size and reduced commercial value. Thinning reduces the number of berries per bunch, resulting in more balanced nutrient distribution, more uniform berry growth, and improved commercial grade. Each banana plant can produce more than 13 bunches. Excessive berries intensify competition for nutrients, leading to significant variability in berry size (the weight difference between the top and bottom berries of unthinned bananas is 145 grams, while this difference is reduced to 42 grams after thinning). Thinning improves the uniformity of the berries and avoids the phenomenon of "reverse combing" (where berries are densely packed at the tail and sparse at the head). For example, in Taiwan, 6-10 berries are commonly maintained, and berry thinning is used to control the number of berries. After thinning, the average weight of berries increases by 13.54%, significantly improving the commercial grade. For example, the average weight of the top and bottom berries after thinning is 218 grams, 13.54% higher than that of unthinned bananas.
