Much like my previous encounter with this engine, I saw it was headed my way at the last possible minute. With no time to catch them farther west, I headed to a spot in Longview with about 10 minutes to spare.
They were going a little slower than I'd liked, but it made for some nice acoustics with the horn bouncing off the trees. It's always a real treat to hear those older K5LLAs, and even better when they're in such fantastic condition.
