On May 22, 2023, we announced that the Black Parallel School Board and several individual students reached a settlement agreement with the Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) in a lawsuit that challenged the district’s longstanding harmful practices of excluding and segregating students with disabilities, particularly Black students with disabilities. https://bit.ly/3MjDgbi
The plaintiffs are represented by the Equal Justice Society (EJS), Disability Rights California (DRC), National Center for Youth Law (NCYL), and Western Center on Law & Poverty (WCLP).
