The Siffa sound system was established in 1978 in Aston/Handsworth Birmingham. Most members either went to Broadway or Holte schools. Members consisted of Rico & Bandit (operators/minor MCs) General Hawkeye, Papa D, Dids Ranks, President (RIEP) (Major MCs) Scientist and Rock I (engineers) Crazy Joe and Issac (dub selectors). Honorary mention goes out to Dennis aka Scatter and McKoy aka Pedro (RIEP) Played all the big sounds of the early 80s era Jah Shaka, Coxsone, Fatman, Jah Tubbys, Java, Young Lion, Jungleman, Baron, Wassifa, Nyah, Quantro etc. Still have flyers with all the Siffa dances.
Supported artists in dances such as Sugar Minot, wailing souls, Frankie Paul etc. Known as the sound that brought “King Step” and “Janet Sinclair” to the world.

Quantro sound system was started in Nottingham by two brothers Kenny and Lenny bedward and a few good friends Robert Cummings and Colin Raymond the sound system progressed very fast and quickly became Nottingham's original number,1 sound which travelled all over the UK playing music with all the top sounds of the 1970s and 1980s.quantro was known as the Midlands champion who entered competitions and took home first place cups. The sound is currently running today in Birmingham with the younger brother Keith and friend Everton who specialises in roots revival music and party events. available for bookings at any time.
Quantro Tone Sound: My brothers were playing music in Nottingham from 1968/to 69. Then as a youth sound called an iron city. Then in 1974, the name changed to Quattro sound system.
