The Scotch Broom is in full bloom as another summer begins in Ocean Shores. The tide is high and the newly formed channel breaking off Damon Point shows a strong current. It is uncertain what the future has in-store for the Point. Perhaps the marina will get rebuilt someday and walk-on ferry service will resume to Westport. What is clear, is the jetty is in need of desperate repair. Till such a time comes the strong ocean currents and shifting sands will continue to change Ocean Shores on the map.
