London on New Year’s Eve is pure sparkle, and last night I couldn’t resist jumping into one of those glowing neon pedicabs cruising down Regent Street. The iconic angel wing lights were still shining bright overhead, the street was all wet and reflective from the rain (classic British NYE weather 😂), red double-decker buses rolling by, and the whole vibe was just electric.
I was wrapped up in my cozy beige coat and boots, handbag on my lap, and the second I sat down in that colorful little ride, I felt like the main character in a holiday rom-com. Arms up in total celebration mode, blowing kisses, waving like crazy – I was soaking up every second of that countdown-to-midnight energy.
There’s something so special about welcoming the new year surrounded by all these twinkling lights and happy strangers. London, you never fail to make me feel like anything is possible in the year ahead.
