Budj Bim Cultural Landscape is an unusual and intriguing UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located in Victoria in southern Australia, it's Australia's first cultural World Heritage Site entirely dedicated to indigenous culture. The site centres around the local Gunditjmara tribe, who used the ancient lava channels of the area to construct channels and canals for fish farming. The setup allowed the Gunditjmara peoples to settle permanently in the area, rather than the hunter-gatherer lifestyle common among Australia's indigenous people. Let's check it out.
