Feature and object detection is like using an “identity sketch” to automatically find and measure specific points of interest. This involves analyzing areas in the image and finding suitable matches with a “matching” score.
Using an AI Object Detection Machine Learning approach is thus suitable to find and locate features such as weld seams, TIG tungsten electrode location, filler wire, weld arc and more.
