Making a custom cape for Rebirth Batman, Mcfarlane figure was a challenge.

I glued purple cotton to black pleather using Elmers spray glue. It's gotta ben done outside. Its messy, sticky and smells bad.

One glued and all bubbles are out, you can glue the top wire in place at the top edge. You'll need to leave an edge to fold over.

Now square it up on you cutting Matt. Fold in half and cut the half circle.
Draw out the scallops to be cut. Cut the amount you want. The bigger the scallop the easier to cut, the smaller the harder it is to cut.

Iron in the splines, sew the splines without wire to edge and the splines with wire further from the edge.

Do not sew the splines all the way to the top, place a guide to keep from doing so.

Cut an oval large enough for the cowl to fit around. Fold over the edge to create a seam. Cut the from wire.

Drill two slot in front for the wire to slot into. Glue the ends there. Remove the shoulder disc to hold the cape at that point and glue the rest under the cowl in the back. You may need to use a wire to hold the cape as it dries in place.

Replace the head and pose the figure.
