Learn to cook "Rigatoni alla Buttera" with Debbie Quick from Debs Creative Images.
Ingredients:
1 bo Rigatoni
1 lb Italian Sausage
1 white onion, chopped
2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
1 bag frozen pease
1/2 cup heavy cream
Crushed red pepper
Parmesan cheese
1 cup of pasta water
Instructions:
Add ground sausage to a frying pan and partially brow. Add onions and crushed red pepper and cook until the sausage and onions are brown.
Stir in tomatoes and simmer over a medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
While the sausage is cooking, bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta. Keep a cup or so of the water from the cooked pasta.
Optionally: stir in pease to the the sauce and continue to cook for 3 minutes and then add the heavy cream.
After the pasta and sauce are done, drain the pasta (keep a cup or so of the pasta water) and add the pasta and pasta water to the meat sauce.
Serve and top off with parmesan cheese.
