Here's Episode 8 of the second series of High Street Histories featuring illustrated conversations between historian Ivan Bunn and writer Dean Parkin, exploring Kirkley & the south of Lowestoft.
Episode 8 shines a light on two versatile local buildings and their history — the snooker club that was once a dairy and the forgotten public hall originally built as an auction room.

Created and edited by Dean Parkin, this episode features archive photographs from the Jack Rose Collection, the Bert Collyer Collection and from Ivan Bunn. The opening credits includes contemporary footage of Kirkley filmed by Joshua Freemantle's Sunrise Studios.
