This panel explores the urgent need for a unified school psychology framework across Indian schools, bringing together pioneers in inclusive education, literacy, and mental health advocacy.
Samindara Sawant is Co-Founder of Disha Counseling Center and Head of the Resource Room at Bhaktivedanta Swami Mission School, Mumbai. Since 1999, she has built the school’s inclusive education policy from the ground up, ensuring 15–20% of students with special needs receive holistic support.
Masarrat Khan, CEO of Maharashtra Dyslexia Association, is a Psychologist, Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist, and Certified Academic Language Therapist. With 35+ years of expertise, she has shaped curricula and spearheaded the DALI assessment tool for Indian languages.
Rupa Chaubal is a state-registered clinical psychologist, trauma therapist, and President of the Psychologist Collective. With over two decades of experience, she has founded trauma-focused centers and is known for her clinical integrity and advocacy for ethical mental health practices.
Together, they discuss how India can move toward a unified, inclusive, and accountable school psychology system.
