The boys break down why - like it or not - Donald Trump outmarketed Kamala Harris with fear marketing to win the 2024 Presidential Election in the U.S.

Joe reveals his youngest son was struggling with Donald Trump winning the election quite a bit. Joe tried to explain the fear marketing that transpired with the famous line from the movie The American President with Michael Douglas:

"And whatever your particular problem is, I promise you, Bob Rumson is not the least bit interested in solving it. He is interested in two things and two things only: making you afraid of it and telling you who's to blame for it. That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you win elections."

Someone close to Joe has been freaking out about immigration. The reality is, they haven't seen an immigrant for 70 years. But Donald Trump using fear marketing to point the blame on immigrants was compelling to that person.

With today's media landscape, it's easiest to sell through fear marketing. Robert points out fear marketing is what works with marketing & sales, as well. Marketers sell fear with products & services. Fear marketing is even what's happening with AI (Artificial Intelligence). That fear of losing jobs because of not adopting AI is like the fear of the future used by Donald Trump during the Election.
