Members of the Auburn Fire Division's student program go through a rigorous, hands-on and demanding 17-week recruit training academy before being assigned to fire companies throughout the City of Auburn. Student firefighters assume all the regular duties of a firefighter including fire suppression, rescue, fire prevention activities and other duties assigned.
