This quiet unassuming pond in the Marina area of Singapore turned out to be a real gem when I made the trip down south. For someone who enjoys seeing nature in the wild, more than the immaculately curated zoos, this place turned out to be a real Birders' Paradise.
Follow along in my short 2-3 hours where I uncovered some (and really, we are just at the tip of the iceberg) of the feral birds that I saw on this day, when even a light drizzle didn't put us off.
I do urge that every visitor be respectful of this precious place as the wildlife can be very delicate, especially the juvenile ones. Please practise restraint as we take in the beautiful sights and sounds that this place can offer.
And do have proper footwear in case in gets really muddy on a wet day. Cheers!
