Описание: Hello everyone this is how i patch up pebble dash / dry dash / roughcast render this demo is part 1 part 2 will follow soon on the two ways I do my dry dashing. In this video I talk about the both the suction and the heat causing the render to set and dry faster, I show the baton the bead and scratch coat explain the 3 to 1 and 4 to 1 ratio. Talk about the thickness of coat for the type of stone that is used.Tools used Refina stainless steel plastering trowel, marshalltown hawk, ox dashing / ox harling trowel ,hammers ,water brush ,buckets and belle cement mixer spear and Jackson tyzack bucket trowel

dry dash is a very hard plastering / rendering job to undertake both physically and mentally demanding on large and small jobs. Plastering and rendering is physically demanding in the fact that you have to use your body to get the job done and sometimes you gotta work hard and fast to complete the job to a high standard. plastering and rendering is also more than meets the eye as you have to know a lot of info for certain jobs as in when a big key to plastering and rendering is timing when to do what and why also knowledge of the suction the wall might have in certain areas and why and what to do about that what chemicals to use when and why and where such as bonding agents in the mix or painted on the wall and also water replants there is a lot of let's say sciences and maths in plastering and rendering. Roughcast or pebble-dash is a coarse plaster surface used on outside walls that consists of lime and sometimes cement mixed with sand, small gravel, and often pebbles or shells. The materials are mixed into a slurry and are then thrown at the working surface with a trowel or scoop. The idea is to maintain an even spread, free from lumps, ridges or runs and without missing any background. Rough-casting incorporates the stones in the mix whereas pebble dashing adds them on top. According to the Encyclopedia Britannica Eleventh Edition, roughcast used to be a widespread exterior coating given to the walls of common dwellings and outbuildings, but it is now frequently employed for decorative effect on country houses, especially those built using timber framing. Variety can be obtained on the surface of the wall by small pebbles of different colours, and in the Tudor period fragments of glass were sometimes embedded
