Situated on ancient Roman ruins, the cathedral was designated a Spanish cultural heritage site in 1844 and attracts numerous tourists with its exquisitely crafted soaring spires, intricate carvings, and vibrant interior spaces. The cathedral boasts 1,800 square meters of exquisitely beautiful stained-glass windows, mostly original works from the 13th and 14th centuries, and is famous for its 130 main windows and three rose windows, which are considered the cathedral's crown jewels.
