Tour de Fleece Day 1!
What a day! I spent most of this Saturday doing all the wooly things: scouring, picking, carding and a TINY bit of actual spinning
These batts are from Melly Knits Sommelier Guts 2 club from May 2025, it’s a “speed date” which has a Romney and the combined the Romney 50/50 with 4 other wools to experiment with blends!
I picked the washed wool by hand and carded up the batts using my Brother Standard drum carder (3 passes)
As a bonus I busted out my Canadian Production Wheel that I have used in a year and spun one batt longdraw 😍
