The Three Degrees are an American female vocal group, formed in 1963 in Philadelphia by Richard Barrett (R.I.P.). After having recorded for several labels, The Three Degrees (line up Fayette Pinkney (R.I.P.), Sheila Ferguson and Valerie Holiday) signed with Philadelphia International Records in 1973. Their first album for the label was simply called 'The Three Degrees'. The album would give them several huge hits. One of the hits was 'Year of decision, written by Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff.
In 2012 a collection of Philly songs was being remixed by Tom Moulton. Among the songs: 'Year of decision'. I took the liberty to edit the Tom Moulton Mix a bit. So here's my extended Moulton Edit. No copyright infringement intended.
