#27 - Nikita - Elton John - Live in Moscow 2011

Описание: A new upload from me: Moscow 14th of November 2011! This week has been quite interesting for die-hard Elton fan, as a new set list was going to be introduced. And a new one got introduced -- a GIANT set with 30 numbers played. Also, the new set contained some unusual songs like Believe, Harmony, Grey Seal, I'm Going To Be A Teenage Idol, and All The Girls Love Alice. This set is what many fans have been waiting for for many years.
This show, unfortunately, has the old set with the usual songs you can expect for a 2010/2011/early 2012 show, but with some smaller changes. For instance, he left out Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding and used Saturday Night's as the opening number. Just like the other Eastern European gigs he played Holiday Inn which is, so to speak, the biggest changes in the set list. Let's get on to the show:

Elton delivers a great show from the Russian capital. The show itself is recorded in an awesome soundboard quality and therefore you won't miss a single note -- this is the ultimate sound quality! The show is quite long with 27 tracks including the band introduction and the band plays overall a great show. What I noticed about the show was, that there are several points where the timing isn't there. There is an example of what I mean on Bennie And The Jets where Elton plays the G/Bm chord in a bad timing. Despite that the version is good and not as obnoxious as some other versions from this tour.
What I also noticed about this show is, that Elton doesn't talk that much during the show. I think Elton is in a rather sad mood, because, as he says just before Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me, one of his friends just passed away and her funeral was In progress during this show. It is also therefore that he dedicates the song to her.
But if you enjoy Elton's concerts on a present basis, and if you enjoy listening to a great concert in the best quality possible, this one is for you.
