EXTREMELY IMPORTANT UPDATE!

The defeat of Fafnir causes the rain to stop in Mt. Bur-Omisace and this has the effect of the game making one less move using the RNG. Therefore, if you've defeated Fafnir, you need to move one step back in Reks's cure values to 88 97 90 to spawn the chest. Once you reload your auto save the run to the chest is the same and if you open it immediately you will get the Dark Energy.

My buddy, Zhako (Ashe10), asked me if I would take a look at this chest and see if i could crack it so that multiple Dark Energies could be available a lot earlier in the game. It's never easy to crack stuff in non-combat areas but I decided to give it a go. Well, The Grandmaster strikes again and the chest in Mt. Bur-Omisace has been cracked and now Dark Energies are available to all in abundance.
This method is so easy that even the mega-idiots will be able to do this, so take a look and see just how easy it is and then fill your boots with Dark Energies.
