The dive was in the Costeau Reserve, named after the famous diver and explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau or commandant Cousteau.

The Cousteau Reserve, located off Malendure Beach in Bouillante, is an iconic site in Guadeloupe. It covers approximately 1,000 hectares and includes the Pigeon Islets, offering exceptional marine life.
The crystal-clear waters are home to a rich biodiversity, including colorful corals, a multitude of tropical fish, sea turtles, and it's even possible to hear the songs of humpback whales.
This site is particularly popular for scuba diving and snorkeling.
Visitors can explore the coral reefs and observe marine life in a protected environment.
