جس کی کلام سے ہمیں اُس کا ملا نشاں

To thank that Esteemed and Mighty Lord is beyond speech
Through Whose Words we found His signs

وہ روشنی جو پاتے ہیں ہم اس کتاب میں
ہوگی نہیں کبھی وہ ہزار آفتاب میں

The light that we find in this Book
Will not ever exist in a thousand suns

اُس سے خدا کا چہرہ نموار ہوگیا
شیطاں کا مکرو وسوسہ بیکار ہوگیا

With it the Visage of God became apparent
The fear and craftiness of Satan became futile

وہ رہ جو ذاتِ عزّوجل کو دکھاتی ہے
وہ رہ جو دل کو پاک و مطہرّ بناتی ہے

That path that shows the Esteemed and Mighty One
That Path that makes the heart pure and virtuous

وہ رہ جو یارگم شدہ کو کھینچ لاتی ہے
وہ راہ جو جامِ پاک یقیں کا پلاتی ہے

That path that brings back the long-lost Beloved
That path that feeds the pure cup of certitude

لوگو ! سنو! کہ زندہ خدا وہ خدا نہیں
جس میں ہمیشہ عادتِ قدرت نما نہیں

Listen 0 people! The Living God is not such a God
Who Does not always have the habit of displaying His Might.

اے سونے والو !جاگو کہ وقتِ بہار ہے
اب دیکھو آکے درپہ ہمارے وہ یار ہے

Awake ye, who slumber! For it is the time of spring
Now come and see that Beloved Who is at our door

کیا زندگی کا ذوق اگر وہ نہیں ملا
لعنت ہے ایسے جینے پہ گر اُس سے ہیں جدا

What pleasure is in life if He is not found!
Such living is cursed if you are away from Him

جو خاک میں ملے اُسے ملتا ہے آشنا
اے آزمانے والے! یہ نسخہ بھی آزما

That Dear is found by him who stoops to dust
O ye who are trying - pray try this recipe, too.

عاشق جو ہیں وہ یار کو مرمرکے پاتے ہیں
جب مرگئے تو اُسکی طرف کھینچے جاتے ہیں

The lovers find their beloveds through a hundred deaths;
After their death, they are drawn unto the beloved.

دیکھو !خدا نے ایک جہاں کو جھکا دیا
گمنام پاکے شہرہ ءعالم بنا دیا

Look! God has subdued an entire world;
Being unknown, He made me renowned in the world.

جو کچھ میری مراد تھی سب کچھ دکھا دیا
میں اِک غریب تھا مجھے بے انتہا دیا

Whatever was my desire,
He fulfilled it all;
I was poor - He gave me without limit.

میں تھا غریب و بیکس و گمنام بے ہنر
کوئی نہ جانتا تھا کہ ہے قادیاں کدھر

I was poor and helpless; unknown and without skills:
No one knew as to where Qadian was located

لوگوں کی اِس طرف کو ذرا بھی نظر نہ تھی
میرے وجود کی بھی کسی کو خبر نہ تھی

No one even cared to look in this direction;
No one was even aware of my existence.

اب دیکھتے ہو کیسا رجوعِ جہاں ہوا
اِک مرجع خواص یہی قادیاں ہوا

Now you see how the world is paying attention;

This very Qadian has become a special meeting place
