Over 4,000 community members came out on Thursday, June 13, to celebrate and remember President Bush's life, legacy of selfless service, and leadership. Hosted by the George & Barbara Bush Foundation, the third and final day of 41@100: A Celebration of George H.W. Bush was the perfect remembrance of our nation’s 41st president.
The Bush grandchildren hosted a sold-out panel conversation, “Looking Forward: Carrying the Mantle of Service into the Future." They discussed how their grandparents’ commitment to public service left an indelible mark on their lives. Grandkids included George P. Bush, Lauren Bush Lauren, Pierce Bush, Walker Bush, Sam LeBlond (Emcee), Ellie Sosa, Robert Koch, and Gigi Koch. Each reflected on memories from their lives and expressed deep gratitude to their grandparents for giving them the freedom to pursue their own paths to public service. Through stories that brought both laughter and tears, they reminded the crowd that President Bush never took himself too seriously and lived his life to the absolute fullest.
