This is an unboxing and short review of the Sony HDR-CX240E. I searched for vidos on the camera, but most seemed bogus to me so I decided to make an own. I wanted a smaller and lighter camera with faster auto focus (and at least some low light capabilities for rare occasions) than my old brick Legria HF M406. There was no need for wireless, GPS nor other stuff. And since my HDR-AS15 has performed pretty well, I gave this low budget camera a shot and believe I'll be satisfied with it if this first impression lasts.
(The clip was shot with the Canon in 1080p/25p ~24Mbit/s, thus internally stored as 50i acc. to tech. ref., and the Sony in 1080/50p ~28Mbit/s, all rendered to 1080p/50 ~25Mbit/s.)
