Описание: Settling velocity is defined in terms of Stokes law. We look at the relationship between settling velocity and particle radius. We also consider how settling time varies with radius and velocity. a brief derivation of Stokes law is presented along with graphical visualizations of interrelationships. The relationship leads to the familiar fining upward graded bedding that we see in turbites.
