Over 10 days, I connected with some of the most fascinating tribes of the Omo Valley:
➤ the Hamer tribe
➤ the Mursi women and their iconic lip plates
➤ the Karo people and their scarification rites
➤ the Daasanach, the Banna, the Nyangatom…
Each encounter left a mark — humbling, heart-opening, and unforgettable.

This was also my first solo trip to Africa — without Silke — and one that came together in less than 72 hours. Sometimes, the most meaningful adventures begin with an unexpected “yes.”
