When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, He showed them that prayer is not about getting things from God, but about growing in relationship with Him. Prayer begins with intimacy with our Father, reshapes our desires to align with His will, and grows out of trusting His goodness. As we look at the Lord’s Prayer and Jesus’ invitation to ask, seek, and knock, we discover that prayer is relational, not transactional—and that our Father delights in hearing His children.
