"Iran Open is happening early in the year so for us, this is the first competition for this season and right after the Iran Open we will go to the German Open and a couple of months later to the world championship in China, so Iran Open for us now is already a good chance to prepare ourselves for this championship. Currently in our league, SPL (Standard Platform League), we are competing against, in particular, a team from Liepzig that is currently a vice world champion and we are competing against a local team, MRL (Mechatronics Research Laboratory of Iran's Qazvin Islamic Azad University) who won the last Iran Open and reached the quarter-finals in the world championship (in Brazil). So the level of competitions is pretty high and it is a really good chance to prepare for the upcoming season."

"This is the Standard Platform League. What's really exciting about it is that the robots are fully autonomous. There's no human control during game play. So we do all of the programming beforehand. That's what's so cool. The guys are currently developing new features and fixing bugs in between games. And when the game is playing, it's totally autonomous."

"International RoboCup Federation officials have acknowledged that the Iran Open competitions live up to world standards and are at the same level as international competitions in terms of both quantity of participating teams and quality of teams that are competing here, as well as the number of leagues we have here. This is actually an all-inclusive event because usually you cannot find all the leagues in similar tournaments, but we hold almost all the leagues that exist in the international RoboCup here at the Iran Open."
