MARSTONS MILLS – As you will see in the following HN Video, COMM Firefighters battled a stubborn chimney fire this afternoon at 78 Hazel Path.
According to sources, the chimney was chock-full of kreosote despite having been recently cleaned this past spring.
The home owner said she heard a load roaring sound, like a train...
Firefighters arrived at about 4:00PM... and were working the scene for about 2 and half hours...
Once the flames were extinguished, firefighters focused on cleaning out some of the hazardous kreosote build up...
