Описание: Hey everyone! I just wrapped up an interesting lab project where I explored how to find open service ports using Kali Linux. It’s always exciting to dive deeper into cybersecurity and get hands-on experience with tools like nmap.

Here’s what I worked on:

Scanned a target machine to identify open ports and the services running on them.
Dug into service versions to find potential vulnerabilities (because outdated software = risky business!).
Ran some detailed scans to uncover hidden or misconfigured services.
And of course, I saved all my findings for analysis later.
But what’s a scan without action, right? I also implemented some essential security measures:

Updating systems and software to close vulnerabilities.
Setting up firewalls to keep unnecessary traffic out.
Disabling services I didn’t need (less is more when it comes to open ports!).
Tightening access controls and adding monitoring tools to spot anything unusual.
The big takeaway? Awareness is everything. When you know what’s exposed, you’re already ahead in securing your system.
