It is an immense honour to present to you this collaboration with Uhrla Women.
Producing a music video with a women circle is a dream come true!

The ceremony and choreography is created and performed by Uhrla Women. They originally created it for their traditional midnight ceremony at the psytrance festival Forest Star, which they organise. The ceremony is dedicated to the Norns, who are fate deities in the Norse mythology. There are 3 main Norns: Urd, Verdandi and Skuld. They sit by the tree of life Yggdrasil, nurturing its roots everyday by pouring water from the well Urdabrunn on them, and weaving the fate of all that is.

In the video, the Norns are being summoned and offered to by the Seid witches (vølve). Seid is old Norse magic, which is closely related to fate deities.

It has been a true pleasure working with such devoted and creative souls. The result is beyond what I could ever possibly have envisioned. Especially considering that our filming crew (my partner Gustav, his brother Tore Holberg and myself) are just amateurs when it comes to filming as it is really just a hobby for us, and also considering that we don’t have much technical knowledge nor gear. As a matter of fact, we just filmed everything with a canon camera and 3 smart phones.
But the performance delivered by these wild women was simply so stunning and heartfelt, that it made it easier for us to get such amazing shots.
Being behind the camera for the first time, I kept being mind blown by what we were actually capturing. The magic, devotion, power, elegance and ecstasy that emanates from their ceremony is an homage to the free spirited feminine energy.
