Circumnavigation of Svalbard aboard Atlas Ocean Voyages' yacht World Voyager on 20 - 31 July 2025.
At 6 a.m. on 29 July 2025, we briefly stopped at the island of Moffen to view the walrus before motoring on into Wijdefjord, the longest fjord on Spitsbergen. We stopped at Nordbreen for a landing next to the glacier. Unlike most of the passengers that opted to hike to the glacier, we opted to view walrus from terra firma. After the landing, we motored over to Midbreen where the first wave of passengers got to view the glacier up close from zodiacs; however, worsening weather resulted in the remainder of the outing being cancelled. Once the zodiacs were safely back on the ship, we motored on.
