Navigating Summer with Chronic Illness

Summer has always been a time of adventure and freedom, but this year has been a bit different. The pain has reached new levels, and spontaneous escapes into nature have become rare.

I share my struggles and how I've had to adapt—finding joy in simpler, local adventures like picnics in the park and short walks. We talk about the pressure to enjoy every moment of the short Canadian summer, and how I'm learning to balance my energy to avoid flares.

I'm also diving into how I've picked up reading again after struggling post-concussion and the beauty of finding slower, more mindful activities. It's all about embracing the changes, finding peace in the present, and appreciating the small moments.
