For Chastity Koosees, being a Canadian Ranger is more than a role, it’s a calling.
Originally from Kashechewan First Nation and now living in Timmins, Ontario, Koosees brings strength, compassion, and leadership to everything she does.
Her journey with the Junior Canadian Rangers helped her learn survival skills and build confidence. Today, she gives back by mentoring youth, helping them stay connected to their land, culture, and community.
From floods to wildfires, Canadian Rangers like Koosees are often the first to respond.
Her story reminds us that service to your country doesn’t always happen overseas. Sometimes, it happens right here at home.
