Senior Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar has strongly criticized the central government over the issue of OBC representation in the census.He alleged that whether it is a self-census or a general census, there is no dedicated column for Other Backward Classes (OBC), effectively ignoring a significant section of the population. He further claimed that promises made by the Prime Minister regarding OBC census were not fulfilled.Wadettiwar also echoed the demand raised by Rahul Gandhi for a caste-based census and proportional budget allocation based on OBC population.
