@Seth MacFarlane is the creator and star of the American science fiction comedy-drama television series The Orville. Ed Mercer, the series' main character, is an officer on one of the Planetary Union's line of exploration spaceships in the year 2501.
The series aggressively# parodies and pays homage to both Star Trek: The #Original Series and its successor, #Star Trek: The Next Generation.
In the first two #seasons, it follows the crew of the starship USS Orville on their episodic #adventures, then in the third season, it follows them on a serialized adventure.
The Orville, a two-season #Fox television series that was produced by Fuzzy Door Productions and 20th Television, debuted on September 10, 2017. (and became available on streaming service Hulu the following day)
