Join us for an exploration of The Bonobo Sisterhood, a powerful call to action to create a collective self-defense against patriarchal violence. In this discuss, we explore the matriarchal world of bonobos, where sexual violence has been eliminated, and discuss its connection to the empowering narratives of the #MeToo movement and current political activism.
Program participants: Ashley Judd, courageous author, actress, and social justice humanitarian; Diane Rosenfeld, Harvard Law’s legal expert on gender violence and author of "The Bonobo Sisterhood: Revolution Through Female Alliance;" Fatima Goss Graves, National Women’s Law Center President and CEO; and Amanda Nguyen, founder and CEO of Rise, a nonprofit defending the rights of sexual assault survivors, and 2022 TIME Woman of the Year.
Moderated by Frédérique Irwin, president and CEO of the National Women’s History Museum, with opening remarks by Kathy Spillar, executive editor of Ms. magazine.
