Описание: How can we make patient care better? This talk is about how we have to squash the racist and biologically false statements that are still taught in Med School today and how we can use new sciences like epigenetics to our advantage. We should never overlook how chronic diseases, especially diseases that are the leading cause of death in the US, affect people at a disproportionate rate. Gianna Filippou is passionate about health sciences, social sciences, and psychology. In recent years, Gianna has taken many science classes including anatomy and physiology, neuroscience, and biology. Gianna plans to continue to study the sciences that she is passionate about in college next year. Outside of school, Gianna loves to spend time with friends, watch movies, ride horses, and cook traditional Greek food with her mom. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
