Harley Davidson FXDR 2020 - Test & Introduction

Today – for the 1rst time - we are able to introduce you to a Harley Davidson, the special edition of the year 2020 called "FXDR". We owe the recordings exclusively to our friend Patrick, who is participating in our projects for the first time with this Harley. Patrick is by far the best professional motorcycle mechanic we know. For him, his job is also his private passion - and - actually completely untypical for today's world - when he is screwing on a motorcycle, he literally puts his soul into every move.

Let's start with the data from today's machine:
The Harley Davidson FXDR has a staggering 1864 cc displacement. The motor has 94 hp and 160 nm. The motor-drive is a completely maintenance-free belt drive that easily lasts well more than 200,000 km.
The screw that we can see here on the right is used to set the desired degree of hardness of the shock absorbers. Patrick is very impressed with the maneuverability of this Harley-Davidson special model. The machine is exceptionally curve-friendly for a chopper, you can really lie in it and, due to the ground clearance, you don't have to worry about scratching the asphalt with footrests and / or exhaust. The workmanship is really beautiful - the position of the air filter and the carbon-clad exhaust system are particularly noticeable. The FXDR naturally has cornering ABS, as well as anti-slip control and an alarm system. This motorcycle here costs € 29,400 at a dealer in Austria (as of August 2020). If it is financially possible for you, then try to live like us in the here and now and make your wishes come true. In recent years, Harley Davidson's company policy has shown very strongly that there are massive efforts to greatly improve the quality of their motorcycles - and that is exactly what we see in this FXDR. Away from the image of the Harley Davidson owners who spent their weekends in garages with beer bottles and tool cases and towards great workmanship and long trips, without the constant fear that some screws will loosen by themselves. So if you wanna fulfill your dream of a Harley Davidson, then Patrick and we can really recommend this FXDR. There are of course “cooler” and better looking Harleys – regarding the optics, but of course they are not that comfortable to drive. But with the FXDR you have a timeless beauty that impresses with its high quality workmanship and cornering behavior, as well as an investment, as the price of this machine is certain to rise. You don't have to emigrate to America to drive straight through the desert for days, but can also conquer all winding dream routes here in the Alps with this chopper model.
In contrast to Erich, I'm not a chopper, but an Enduro fan, but I really like this Harley FXDR, including its completely surprisingly great seating position. I also immediately felt how well this motorcycle is balanced - you don't even notice the 300 kg of it s weight.
