The first external DAC ever made, by Tim Paravicini, the founder of the famous EAR company.
Here it is with several capacitors upgrade: Nichicon Fine Gold, Panasonic FC, Elna Cerafine II and Mundorf Supreme Film Foil.
The two power regulators (+5v/-5v) near to TDA1541A are also upgraded to NewClassD MKII.
For now, it's still running in Over Sampling mode.
The CD transport used (you may hear the disc noise spinning) is the Philips CD-940 with the fantastic CDM9/44 transport mechanism (the last swing arm made by Philips), with some tweaks suggested by Mr. Lampizator.
For testing purposes I've used the usual: Audion Sterling Silver Night, Class A amplifier, and a pair of Dynaco A25 SE speakers completely in stock mode, which I have for more than 10 years, playing music day and night.
For cables, I've used: TG Audio Silver as amp power cable, DNM interconnects with Eichemann RCA Bullet plugs (low resistance and inductance, therefore reduced colorations and very high dynamics) and a vintage Western Electric 14GA copper wires as speaker cables - as recommended by Jeff Day and Mr. Shirokazu Yazaki in Positive-Feedback (review available online).
It's a very humble video, but I hope you will enjoy!
